Where
it all began
The Beakbane family owned a leather tannery in Stourport-on-Severn. When Renault Beakbane joined the family business he soon identified a new industrial market for leather products and founded a new company in 1954, which would later become Beakbane Ltd.
Initially the company supplied leather products to the machine tool and other associated industries.
During the 1950's and 1960's new plastics and other polymer materials were being developed. Renault and his team thought that there was great potential for new products to be introduced utilising these materials. A research and development culture was introduced into the company, which enabled them to utilise these materials to introduce new products with far superior properties. This culture continues to this day.
In the 1970's the company identified further opportunities for steel products, including telescopic covers for the machine tool industry. A decision was made to diversify into steel products and a major investment programme followed.
Beakbane Ltd is still a private independent company, which enables the management team to take the long term strategic view when considering investment in new processes and equipment.
Today Beakbane Ltd has progressed a long way from it's beginnings, although always based in the Kidderminster area. With a worldwide reputation for affordable quality, supported by the latest IT systems, our team of over 120 employees is dedicated to supporting customers across the world with bespoke innovative solutions.
